Reliable, tough and packing a lot of use into a small package: biting, industrious, efficient – fire ants are known as hard workers, but above all for their painfully burning stings. From now on, everyday cutting tasks should watch out too, because the Böker Plus Fire Ant stays true to the defining traits of this ant genus. Its "mouth tool" is a drop-point blade made from corrosion-resistant 1.4116 blade steel with a satin finish. The Fire Ant only bares its bite once the flipper is engaged, while the double detent ball mechanism keeps the knife securely open: two balls inside the liners press against the opened blade and only release once the clamping resistance is overcome. Excellent grip comes from the textured polypropylene handle scales, between which sit a stabilizing backspacer, a pair of tweezers, and a reversible tip-up clip. The one Ant only for EDC!
