We call the blade material PURE DAMASCUS to distinguish it from attached damascus, which is only a support for a VG10 blade. (Regular damascus has a center blade which is the actual cutting part. With a regular damascus knife the damascus around is only supporting the center blade like the bread bun the meat patty in a Hamburger. We have only the juicy meat!
Dorimu the knife dream - is a true damascus knife without the VG-10 core. It's coreless.
Basically Dorimu is like a handmade Damascus knife, but Dorimu is semi-industrial.
You cut with the CHROMA Dorimu with the forged damascus blade and not with the VG-10 core as regular damascus knives do.
This way it can be produced sharper and will stay longer sharp.
The NIM (Norwegian Iron Maple) handle will not shrink as almost all other wooden handles. The cnives have a perfect finish and an outstanding out of the box sharpeness.
