A Laguiole for connoisseurs: The handle scales of this classic 12 cm model are made from the wood of old grapevines. The gnarled, hard vinewood has a lively grain in many shades of brown, which makes every knife unique. To match, the knife has a sturdy corkscrew, so it goes along to picnics, wine tastings and convivial evenings. The blade is made of stainless Sandvik 12C27MOD, which holds its edge well and is easy to resharpen. Blade and bolsters have a matte finish that hides fingerprints. The fly and backspring are forged from a single piece, and the spring is decorated with hand-chiselled file work. The handle bears the traditional shepherd’s cross. As is customary at Laguiole en Aubrac, a single cutler makes the whole knife, step by step, in the workshop in Espalion, in the historic Laguiole region.
