Black, brass and steel: the Laguiole en Aubrac "Mouche Prestige N°13" pairs deep, dark ebony with warm, gleaming brass. Ebony handle scales are framed by brass bolsters and rivets.The double liners are the most elaborate feature: both are made of brushed brass and hand-guilloché, as is the stainless steel backspring. It ends in the hand-forged "Mouche Prestige N°13" fly, where each Laguiole en Aubrac cutler shows his own signature. The 10 cm blade of Swedish Sandvik 12C27mod resists corrosion, is easy to resharpen and takes a fine edge. As a traditional slipjoint, the blade is held open by spring tension alone and has no lock. Each piece is made from start to finish by a single cutler at the workshop in Espalion. Because of the natural materials, every knife is unique.
