Simple, slender and remarkably calm in character: the TMC Zen lives up to its name. Hervé Theillol makes this pocket knife by hand in his workshop in Thiers, the historic heart of French cutlery. Its elongated silhouette does without any unnecessary flourish and lets the material take centre stage. The royal ebony scales show a lively grain with shifting tones, making every piece unique. They are fastened to the liners with fine hex screws, giving the knife a contemporary, technical touch. The liners are hand-guilloched, a subtle decoration that reveals itself only at second glance. The blade is made of Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, which is easy to resharpen and holds a reliable edge. As a classic slipjoint without a lock, the Zen is an elegant everyday companion, for a picnic lunch or for anyone who wants to carry a good knife as a piece of craftsmanship. Handmade in Thiers, France.
