It is made of Japanese SG2 Micro Carbide Poder Stainless Steel (63 HRC), which is enveloped by 50 layers with soft and hard stainless steel on each side, resulting 101 layers in total. Handle of Canvas Micarta Plus. Other handleparts of 18/10 stainless steel. The trade mark "Gou" is engraved on the grip end and on the blade "Gou 101 Layers".
